Ok, so you created your clickbank account and found a product to promote...GREAT! Now what?
You might have already posted an ad a couple places promoting your affiliate with the link clickbank gave to you, but that's a mistake. You don't want to post your clickbank link, known as a hoplink, for couple reasons. For one it is pretty long and ugly and another reason is that some places, like craigslist will not even allow you to post a clickbank link.
What you need is a redirect website with your own address. This is a site with an address which you picked that will automatically redirect your visitors to your hoplink. This is perfectly ok under the clickbank terms and they actually encourage it. If you already have hosting and are already making websites then can easily set this up yourself. If you do not know anything about coding and building website you can have a redirect site built for you at http://www.clickbankredirects.com I think they only charge like 10 bucks for a simple automatic redirect website. After you make (or buy) a redirect site you will be able to freely post your links anywhere that allows link posting. You address will also look better and more descriptive too. If your promoting dog treats your address can be "www.bestdogtreats.com" instead of something like "http/a1cbc0mow3u0zc0u88.hop-clckbnk=here. net/whatever" it just doesn't look to professional the second way.
